Мав дяк в селі найкращу доню,
дівчину явір покохав.
Почула плід у свому лоні
по ночі, п’яній від гріха.

Дізнавшись, дяк умер з неслави,
мов ніч, похмурий був і гнівний.
Кущем як мати кучерявим
