Жил игрушечный солдатик как обычно оловянный

В окружении безликом, в мире оловом покрытым

Он здоровался тактично с теми кто ему встречался

Добродушною улыбкой он безлико улыбался.

В оловянном его сердце

Не волнений нет, ни страсти

Не испытывал он горя, не испытывал он счастья.

И не знал он цену жизни, не боялся близкой смерти,

Не приучен был он мыслить, он умел повиноваться

Чьи-то руки в бой бросали, не спросив его согласья,

Чьи-то руки убивали тех, кому хотелось счастья.

Я хочу, солдатик милый, с глаз железную снять маску

Чтоб забилось твое сердце, чтоб узнал ты цену счастья.
